Chemical DyesThe Chemical Dyes are the colored substances, which have an affinity to the substrate to which it is being functional. The dye is commonly applied in an aqueous solution, and need a mordant to develop the fastness of the colorant on the fiber. These colored products can only absorb some wavelengths of visible light. These are commonly soluble in water whereas dyes are insoluble. These can be rendered insoluble with the adding of salt to make a lake pigment. These are used in solutions, which are capable of being fixed to a textile. The Chemical Dyes do not fade with the soap, water, and exposure to sunlight etc.
